Starlight Symphony is an orchestra made of up of volunteers and professionals. Our repertoire is off the beaten path. We combine a wide range of pop, symphonic jazz, rarely heard masterpieces, American music, and new works by Oregon composers.
We started in 2007 with a desire to connect modern, technologically savvy audiences with live orchestral music in a different way. To accomplish that, we present an amazing variety of music, involving our audiences in the history and story behind the music, and sometimes in the music itself. We make the experience memorable and personal, sometimes arranging audience conductors and opportunities for the audience to actually sit alongside the musicians.
