Painted Sky Northstar/Moveo Dance is a company of 20 plus dancers in the Portland/Northwest area who use performance to educate and reconnect to the heritage of this land ... often work with National Native American performers on stage and in school.
The Northstar/Moveo Dance Company was formed in February of 2005 by Mary Hager in partnership with sister company Moveo founded by Demetrius Keller and Damon Keller ... Mary Hager felt the blending of traditional Native American styles of dance with contemporary styles as tap, lyrical and jazz would be an exciting outreach performance to the community and a reconnection to the heritage of this land. Today, Northstar/Moveo performs in all mediums including stage, schools and national television.

NW Fusion is a pre-professional dance company comprised of young artists between the ages of 14-18. These young artists are given the opportunity to perform the work of regional as well as national choreographers.
NW Fusion’s mission is to provide the necessary tools for dancers to transition seamlessly into professional careers of their own, whatever they might be. By emphasizing the importance of hard work, dedication, self-expression, and artistic excellence, the members of the company will hopefully experience growth as both an artist and individual. With community involvement through educational outreach programs the company members focus on the significance of all dance forms.
