Dr. Jayanthi Raman, Dancer Choreographer, artistic director, and teacher has a critically acclaimed and an extensive and impressive career spanning three decades, receiving awards and recognition.

Jayanthi Raman, Director of Natya Dance Academy in Portland, is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer of distinction. She is the winner of multiple awards for teaching, choreography and performance, and recipient of numerous grants from local and state agencies. She has served as panel for the Regional Arts Council and on the board of the Washington Cultural Coalition Committee for the Oregon Cultural Trust. Raman was selected as a Master Artist of Oregon and twice as Master Artist of Washington

I teach classical guitar to all ages of students from beginner to advanced level. I have been teaching for almost ten years. As a performer, I have been playing in special events and weddings. I recently moved to the Portland area.

Yu-Wen (Elizabeth) Su is a classical guitarist originally from Taiwan. She is a performer and teacher. She began her music training and playing classical guitar at a young age. After graduating from college, she continued her graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002. She received both masters and doctoral degrees majoring in music performance under the direction of renowned guitarist Professor Javier Calderon. While studying in UW-Madison, Dr. Su performed for concerts and events.

Painted Sky Northstar/Moveo Dance is a company of 20 plus dancers in the Portland/Northwest area who use performance to educate and reconnect to the heritage of this land ... often work with National Native American performers on stage and in school.

The Northstar/Moveo Dance Company was formed in February of 2005 by Mary Hager in partnership with sister company Moveo founded by Demetrius Keller and Damon Keller ... Mary Hager felt the blending of traditional Native American styles of dance with contemporary styles as tap, lyrical and jazz would be an exciting outreach performance to the community and a reconnection to the heritage of this land. Today, Northstar/Moveo performs in all mediums including stage, schools and national television.

The Hillsboro Community Youth Choir (HCYC) includes our Prelude (preparatory), Premiere (upper elementary/middle school), and Encore (middle/high school) choirs. Our director is Cindy Uecker, choral director at Liberty High School and member of the Oregon Chorale, with over thirty years experience in choral education and conducting. With members from throughout the west metro area, HCYC gives two main annual concerts, hosts an annual choral clinic, and performs at events through the region.

Although he spends much of his time teaching mandolin workshops and leading a three-piece western swing and bluegrass band (Ida Viper), he returns to the stage as a solo act to satisfy his passion for music and the challenge only a solo gig can offer. On stage, Brian delves into the music that has inspired him over the past 12 years of performing.

A native of Oregon, Linda grew up in the Beaverton area, living on the family farm with her parents, grandparents, uncle and his family. Beginning piano lessons at age 7, she continued her music studies through high school & college, graduating with a Masters in elementary education. She taught elementary music in Beaverton, taught private piano for 25 years, began Notes of Celebration in 2002. Linda continues to support the Beaverton schools, accompanying high school musicals & vocal students

Kenny Lavitz grew up in the musical melting pot of New Jersey and New York, and it was there that he learned the rudiments of music. In his early 20's, wanting to further his musical knowledge, Kenny moved to Miami where he became involved in intense and advanced musical studies and where the fertile mix of Latin rhythms, Jazz, and Blues guided him further along his musical journey. After his studies in Miami, Kenny attended G.I.T. in Los Angeles.

Portland Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1947 by Boris Sirpo, Finnish composer and conductor. Initially made up of his students at Lewis and Clark College, it grew over the years and turned professional in 2001. In that year, Maestro Yaacov Bergman joined the orchestra as Music Director and Conductor bringing a new level of quality performance and outstanding programming, and an emphasis on collaboration with other arts organizations. Suzanne Hamlin (B.A. University of La Verne, M.M. University of Idaho) has taught and performed as a professional pianist for 15 years. She began studying the piano at age four, and first accompanied choirs at age 11. A member of the Oregon Music Teacher’s Association, she has also taught at universities in Idaho, Nevada, and Ohio.

Amy and Jeff are versatile singers, musicians and songwriters/composers whose wide range of styles include traditional music of many cultures, classical music, popular American music and original material.

Amy and Jeff have been performing together for more than 30 years. Amy is especially known for singing Yiddish, Hebrew and other traditional Jewish music, and original songs, including "My Friend Madison", an official song of her hometown, Madison, Wisconsin. Jeff plays many instruments and writes and arranges extensively. He is currently the principal clarinet of the Hillsboro Symphony. Available for festivals, parties or other special occasions.
