Oregon has some of the most diverse and scenic landscapes of any state. With little effort one can experience the salty air of the beaches and the rain forests of the coastal range to the alpine peaks of the Cascades and the high desert.

I have been photographing for many years, with no formal training until I studied photography and digital media production at the Art Institute of Portland. My work was displayed at the Art Institute in Portland. I am a member of the PPA. I love photographing many subjects from landscapes to still life to people.

This Portland, Oregon photographer seeks out grand landscapes in the Western United States. He is particuarly fond of the desert southwest.

I trace my interest in photography to my childhood. I'd often explore my father's old enlarger sitting unused in our house. Or I'd play with his old twin reflex camera marvelling at the image in the view finder and the sound of the shutter. Eventually I bought my first SLR and toiled in a makeshift darkroom. Eventually photography entered the digital age, and I felt empowered to produce the images and prints I'd dreamed of but could not realize.

I enjoy the diversity of art and don’t want to miss a moment in my journey and adventure in it; I want to play in it all.

I love art; the visual, the tools & paint, the smells, the challenge, the experimentation. It intrigues me and speaks to me. I also work in photography and further my ‘play’ in it as I create abstract & ‘digitally drawn’ works. I accept commissions, in a variety of subjects and styles in colored pencil, watercolor, digital photography and photo manipulation.
