I'm retired, live rural with my husband by Gaston. I have been enjoying the time to do my painting. I do not belong to any gallaries now. I have eye problems so I don't come into town often. I really enjoy painting the rural scenes around my home.

My earilest memory of making art; I was five years old, laying on the kitchen floor coloring with crayons on a large white piece of butcher paper. I never stopped scribbling. I was "horse crazy" in my school years. My Mom would complain "every piece of paper has a part of a horse drawn on it!" I never took my art seriously enough to make it into a career. I was content just having it as a stress relief; my private place of refuge. Now I paint mostly in watercolor or pen and ink. I love nature.

I use anything I get my hands on in a creative fashion. Art is my outlet. I love walking through galleries and speaking with other artists.

I have been an artist since childhood. I work with acrylic on canvas. I also create computer generated artwork using PhotoShop and Illustrator. I also create hats using felt and molds. I worked for years as a Graphic Designer.

I have been exploring basketry weaving for the past 12 years. I started out by learning basic coil techniques and then onto weaving with seagrass. I enjoy using fibers, feathers, shells, driftwood, beautiful beads in my one of a kind pieces.

I have explored different areas of art over the years. I have been a member of the Eugene Saturday Market since 1988. I have created beeswax candles, handpainted silk scarves, collage jewelry as well as collage cards over the years. I began learning about basketry in 1998.
